Executive Director, Global Safety Strategy & Benefit Risk Management

Role: Executive Director, Global Safety Strategy & Benefit-Risk Management at United Therapeutics, leading safety evaluation, benefit-risk assessment, and pharmacovigilance strategies for pulmonary therapeutics. Responsibilities: develop and execute enterprise-wide safety strategies, oversee benefit-risk analyses supporting regulatory submissions, and ensure global safety governance across investigational and marketed products, including biologics and devices. Provide scientific leadership in signal detection, safety assessments, and safety science activities; collaborate with cross-functional teams including Clinical Development, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Quality; and lead safety oversight of product safety governance committees. Maintain inspection readiness, ensure compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations, and drive innovation through advanced analytics and safety methodologies. Requirements: MD with 10+ years leading pharma/biopharma safety risk management, including managing MDs/sub-investigators; 5+ years clinical trial support; proficiency in data analytics tools; excellent communication and strategic thinking skills. Preferred: MD Pulmonology specialty, US medical licensure, and clinical practice experience. Location: Hybrid or remote in the US, with up to 15% travel.
