Position Summary
The Executive Director, Consumer Marketing leads enterprise consumer and patient marketing strategy to drive brand growth, deepen patient engagement, and support long-term franchise success. Oversees Consumer Marketing and Patient Education to deliver a cohesive, end-to-end patient and caregiver experience.

Primary Responsibilities
- Own and lead enterprise consumer marketing and patient engagement strategy across brand, franchise, and corporate priorities
- Lead and develop senior leaders (Sr. Director, Consumer Marketing; Director, Patient Education)
- Represent the voice of the patient and caregiver in senior leadership forums
- Lead full-lifecycle consumer strategy, including inline brand optimization and readiness for future indications and pipeline assets
- Drive integrated strategic planning across Consumer Marketing and Patient Education; align messaging and execution across patient touchpoints
- Deliver end-to-end patient journey strategy connecting awareness, education, engagement, and adherence
- Ensure alignment between consumer and HCP strategies; integrate field-based Patient Educators with home office marketing
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with HCP Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, Corporate Affairs, and Commercial Operations
- Oversee omnichannel consumer strategy, insights, and performance (digital, media, segmentation, journey mapping, market dynamics)
- Own budgets, campaigns, patient engagement programs, agency strategy, and vendor management; ensure compliance with MLR standards

Education/Experience/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing/Business/Healthcare or related); MBA/advanced degree strongly preferred
- 15+ years progressive pharmaceutical/biotech marketing experience with deep consumer marketing, digital strategy, and patient engagement expertise
- Experience leading senior leaders and/or second-line leadership; driving cross-functional initiatives
- Strong consumer/digital/omnichannel strategy, leadership development, enterprise strategy influence, and end-to-end patient journey execution
- Advanced consumer insights/analytics and budget management
- Excellent communication, executive presence, decision-making; thrives in matrixed, fast-paced environments
- Travel up to ~40%
