Executive Director, Clinical Scientist

Role: Lead clinical development and scientific strategy for Madrigal's MASH portfolio, including Rezdiffra (resmetirom), a liver-directed THR-β agonist approved for moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2-F3) and in Phase 3 for cirrhosis (F4c). Responsibilities: design and review clinical trial protocols, author key regulatory documents, provide scientific input during trial execution, collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinical ops, data management, biostatistics, medical writing), and support regulatory submissions. Requirements: PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent with 12+ years in clinical development within pharma/biotech; deep experience in liver disease, metabolic disorders, or NASH/MASH preferred; strong knowledge of ICH/GCP and global regulations; excellent communication and project management skills. Preferred: experience in fast-paced biotech environments, familiarity with liver endpoints (histology, biomarkers), and regulatory interactions. High-Value: expertise in liver and metabolic disease clinical trials, especially in NASH/MASH, with involvement in advanced fibrosis or cirrhosis stages, contributing towards regulatory milestones.
