Position Summary
Executive Director, Business Capabilities and Excellence (BCE) β€” Head of Business Capabilities and Excellence within Worldwide Patient Safety (WWPS) and Chief of Staff to the Head of Worldwide Patient Safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead development/execution of Patient Safety mission, vision, and global strategic priorities.
- Serve as trusted advisor/Chief of Staff to the WWPS Head and enable PS Senior Leadership Team operations and decisions.
- Drive Patient Safety organizational evolution (operating model, people/culture, capability modernization across data/digital/analytics).
- Govern prioritization of Patient Safety investments; ensure highest-value allocation.
- Own/manage Patient Safety budget.
- Lead/develop global BCE leadership team (strategy, planning, capability building, digital enablement, business operations, future skills).
- Lead change management, communications, and engagement; sponsor engagement networks.
- Build partnerships (IT, HR, GBDS, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, transformation teams) to advance adoption.
- Define/mature/measure business capability effectiveness (scalability, sustainability, value).
- Oversee innovation/automation/process redesign identification, evaluation, scaling.
- Ensure readiness for Digital Health initiatives and shape digital opportunities.
- Lead Patient Safety PMO portfolio planning/execution/measurement/communication.
- Own Patient Safety publications and external scientific communications.
- Represent Patient Safety via thought leadership and external forums.

Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s/Doctoral preferred.
- 12+ years in pharma/biopharma/regulatory healthcare.
- 8–10 years senior leadership with strategy execution and large-scale transformation.
- Enterprise transformation across people/process/data/digital; global matrix environment experience.
- Strong understanding of pharmacovigilance/patient safety and regulatory inspection environments (highly desirable).
- Executive/C-suite influence without authority; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
- Partnership with IT/digital on system design, deployment, adoption.
- Strategic, innovative, pragmatic; strong judgment in ambiguity.
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, MS Project.

Compensation Overview
- $296,070–$358,770 (FTE); additional incentive cash/stock may be available (eligibility-based).
