Executive Director, US Business Unit POD Lead

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Business Unit POD Organization
- Lead Directors responsible for Analytics and Primary Market Research aligned to the business unit
- Build a high-performing, collaborative POD delivering integrated insights with speed, rigor, and business impact
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Serve as the Strategic Insights Partner to the Business Unit
- Act as the primary analytics and insights advisor to the Business Unit General Manager and leadership team
- Integrate insights across analytics, primary market research, forecasting, value & access, finance, commercial operations, and medical
- Deliver objective, actionable perspectives on growth opportunities, risks, investment decisions, and strategic tradeoffs
- Drive Business Performance and Identify Growth Opportunities
- Identify and monitor leading indicators of brand and portfolio performance to inform decisions and drive results
- Translate complex data into clear, executive-ready insights
- Identify opportunities by uncovering high-potential healthcare providers, patient segments, and points of friction across the patient journey
- Detect sources of leakage in the treatment journey and recommend actions to reduce drop-off and improve patient progression
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure insights lead to measurable business outcomes
- Enable Data-Driven Decision Making Through Technology and AI
- Champion automation, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics to accelerate insight generation and decision-making
- Leverage modern data platforms and predictive analytics to improve business performance visibility and analytical rigor
- Execute a Scalable Global Delivery Model
- Lead a globally distributed insights workforce spanning US teams, global capability centers, and strategic partners
- Leverage delivery hubs (e.g., Portugal) and emerging teams (e.g., India) to scale delivery with speed, efficiency, and consistency
- Ensure governance, quality, and operating models across distributed teams

Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree + 6 years’ experience in market research, analytics, competitive intelligence, sales, and/or marketing operations
OR
- Master’s degree + 10 years’ experience
OR
- Bachelor’s degree + 12 years’ experience AND
- 6 years’ managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams/projects/programs or directing allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to influence senior leadership and shape strategic decisions through insights and analytics
- Strategic thinking and business acumen with deep understanding of commercial drivers in biopharmaceutical
- Experience leading insights/analytics/market research organizations supporting multiple brands or therapeutic areas
- Experience integrating market research, analytics, forecasting, and competitive intelligence
- Executive communication and storytelling; experience presenting to senior leadership
- Experience building and leading global teams across multiple geographies
- Knowledge of drug development, commercialization, and the healthcare ecosystem (patients, providers, payers)
- Experience leveraging advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled insights
- Experience building and developing high-performing teams
