What You Will Do
- Develop and execute Amgen’s corporate brand strategy aligned with business priorities and long-term reputation goals.
- Steward brand consistency across communications, experiences, and visual identity; lead brand governance.
- Strengthen awareness, trust, and engagement; monitor reputation trends and proactively manage risks.
- Provide strategic oversight for brand programs tied to the Amgen Foundation and ESG priorities.
- Lead corporate brand marketing programs and integrated campaigns; partner across Digital, Social, Media, and Communications.
- Oversee paid media investments supporting corporate storytelling, executive visibility, talent attraction, and business priorities.
- Lead enterprise content strategy; oversee Amgen Newsroom as flagship owned media.
- Direct editorial strategy, multimedia production, content publishing, and storytelling showcasing science, innovation, culture, and patient impact.
- Establish centralized intake/prioritization/governance/resource-allocation processes; oversee communications technology platforms and adoption of AI-enabled tools.
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team; build cross-functional partnerships; foster innovation and continuous improvement.

What We Expect Of You (Qualifications)
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate + 6 years OR Master’s + 10 years OR Bachelor’s + 12 years in corporate communications/brand marketing/corporate affairs/content strategy (or related).
- 6+ years managerial or leadership experience managing people/teams/projects/programs and resource allocation.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading enterprise brand/marketing/reputation/content organizations.
- Expertise in brand marketing, audience engagement, integrated campaigns.
- Cross-functional leadership (marketing, editorial, creative, digital, communications).
- Shared services/centralized operating models; communications/content/marketing/digital transformations.
- Understanding of digital publishing, content management, analytics, martech, and emerging AI capabilities.
- Leadership, stakeholder management, executive communication.
- Biotech/healthcare/life sciences or other regulated industry experience.
- Newsroom/owned media/corporate publishing/integrated content experience.
- Advanced degree in communications/marketing/business/journalism (or related).
