Summary of Position:
The Assistant Controller serves as a senior finance leader, providing enterprise-wide leadership over accounting operations, financial close, financial reporting, and compliance activities. Acts as a strategic partner to the Vice President, Controller & Treasurer to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and scalability of the companyโ€™s financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior leader within the Finance organization, supporting enterprise-wide financial strategy, governance, and execution.
- Advise on accounting operations, risks, controls, and process improvements.
- Lead multiple accounting functions (Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Payroll).
- Ensure internal controls, timely/accurate/compliant transaction processing, and reliable financial reporting.
- Lead monthly/quarterly/annual close processes; ensure financial statements comply with accounting standards and company policies.
- Support external audits and internal reviews with oversight and coordination.
- Develop and refine accounting policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Streamline processes, improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance scalability.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration for system enhancements, automation, and best practices.
- Lead/support finance initiatives and special projects (implementations, redesigns, integrations).
- Lead, coach, and develop team members.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting or related field; advanced degree or CPA strongly preferred.
- 15+ years accounting experience, including 7+ years Big 4 and public company supervisory experience (accounting operations, financial statement prep, SEC reporting).
- SOX compliance experience.
- Experience leading/managing staff.

- Critical thinking, leadership, and project management.
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, vlookups/xlookups, etc.).

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage a mix of individual contributors and managers overseeing additional staff.
