Job Description
This GATL will lead teams covering multiple assets, from early- to late-phase to marketed products, related to HIV treatment.

Specific Responsibilities
- Strategic Asset Leadership: Develop and execute cohesive asset and program strategies; ensure alignment with broader organizational goals via resource assessment, timeline management, and risk mitigation.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Enable strong collaboration around a shared asset vision; ensure transparent flow of asset-related information and decisions across teams and partners.
- Accountability for Delivery: Ensure timely achievement of key asset-related milestones; monitor progress vs. Target Product Profile (TPP), Asset Plan, and Lifecycle Plan (LCP); ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Integrated Strategy Development: Develop and present global asset strategies covering product development, manufacturing, commercialization, and lifecycle management; adapt as clinical/regulatory/commercial landscapes evolve.
- Governance and Decision Facilitation: Resolve high-impact issues with scenario planning and risk analysis; communicate with senior leadership/governance bodies; set Go/No Go decision points and present data to Portfolio Committee.
- Team Leadership: Align cross-functional teams around a unified asset vision; cultivate an inclusive, collaborative team environment and drive decision-making.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong internal/external partner relationships.
- Operational Excellence: Operationalize integrated asset strategy and stakeholder activities to deliver program milestones.
- Scientific and Medical Advocacy: Articulate and champion asset strategies, scientific rationale, and clinical objectives.
- Portfolio and Therapeutic Area Strategy: Advise on disease area strategies for discovery, innovation, development, and lifecycle planning.

Capabilities and Requirements
- Advanced scientific/medical/commercial background with expertise in drug development and relevant therapeutic areas; ability to make complex decisions with an enterprise perspective.
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership; manage global initiatives and execute strategic plans.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and integrate discovery, development, regulatory, and commercial considerations across the asset lifecycle.
- Ability to lead/influence/deliver impact without direct authority.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Track record delivering strategic value in global pharmaceutical/biotech organizations.
- Comprehensive understanding of the drug development process, including full asset lifecycle management and end-to-end brand exposure.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business discipline required; PhD/MD/MBA highly preferred (MD or PhD may be prioritized for some roles).
- 12+ years biopharmaceutical industry experience preferred; at least 8 years in relevant roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the drug development process; experience with commercial launches and program/asset strategy teams strongly desired.
- Executive Director minimums: 16+ years with BS; 14+ years with MS or PhD; 8+ years with MD.
