The Position
- Serve as a strategic compliance advisor and business partner to senior leaders across US Operations.
- Promote the Ethics & Compliance program and Novo Nordisk Way; mitigate healthcare compliance risk via practical advice, clear policy, training, and monitoring.
Essential Functions
- Risk Assessment & Data-Driven Insights: Develop enterprise risk assessments using analytics/benchmarking; use AI/advanced tools to identify outliers and execution risk; monitor regulatory landscape.
- Strategic Business Partnership: Advise on complex compliance scenarios; embed compliance considerations into business decisions; partner with Legal on processes, obligations, and remediation.
- Monitoring & Remediation: Design and execute risk-based monitoring (e.g., speaker programs, consulting, grants, sponsorships, donations, COI disclosures); conduct live/transactional monitoring; perform root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action.
- Policy Development: Draft and update principle-based policies.
- Training & Culture: Manage Ethics Ambassador network; deliver Ethics & Compliance training/presentations.
- Governance & Reporting: Lead committee participation; report risk trends/mitigation effectiveness; document E&C activities; maintain knowledge of applicable laws/regulations; maintain incident reporting lines.
- Enterprise Leadership: Champion integrity and ethical decision-making; represent E&C externally as a thought leader.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs required; MBA/JD/CPA or equivalent strongly preferred.
- 12+ years compliance/legal/audit/regulatory in life sciences; 5+ years advisory role counseling senior leaders required.
- Experience with OIG compliance guidance and US Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
- Demonstrated knowledge of FDA and key compliance laws (e.g., Anti-Kickback, Stark, False Claims Act, HIPAA/HITECH, privacy laws, CAN-SPAM, aggregate spend reporting) and international data protection.
- Strong data analytics and risk insight communication (VP+), cross-functional influence, executive presence.
- 20β30% overnight travel required.
Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Base compensation range: $187,100β$327,500; bonus eligible; long-term incentives/vehicles.
