Role Summary

The Ethanol Equipment Technician focuses on installation and preventative maintenance of Phibro Ethanol’s product dosing equipment, in collaboration with Phibro Ethanol Sales and Technical Services. This role operates within a team to provide customized service to the sales and tech service organization and our customer base. Location: Teaneck, NJ (Remote site). Travel is required approximately 50-70%.

Responsibilities

  • Execute PMs per CMMS schedule
  • Assist with all aspects of equipment installation
  • Assist with customer installation training
  • Support existing business through shutdown/outage borescoping of systems cleaned by our products and chemistries – or in preparation for turning on our products
  • Onsite startup and commissioning of equipment
  • Perform onsite and remote troubleshooting of equipment using IoT platform and other available tools
  • Drive Phibro Ethanol initiatives including new product implementation
  • Maintain stewardship of Phibro Brand, Image and Identity Guidelines
  • Utilize Phibro resources and training to develop strong working knowledge of product portfolio
  • Ensure high quality technical support of customer base
  • Work with sales and tech service teams to gather technical information, to promote sales and new products within the biofuels and distilled spirits industry

Qualifications

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Required: Ability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds safely
  • Required: Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
  • Required: Ability to travel, expectation is approximately 50-70%
  • Required: Actively report and record information on customer interaction, preventative and reactive maintenance work, as well as monthly performance metrics
  • Preferred: Industrial Maintenance Experience
  • Preferred: Technical Certifications

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and prints

  • Familiarity with plant safety requirements
  • Effective communication to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Industry experience preferred
