Key Responsibilities
- Establish and implement site and regional EH&S strategies aligned to Enterprise standards, business objectives, and property changes.
- Lead, coach, and develop EH&S staff and contracted resources; partner on resource needs, budgets, and priorities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local EH&S regulations and J&J standards; manage environmental permits and regulatory interactions.
- Identify EH&S risks and lead corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) development, implementation, and tracking.
- Monitor EH&S program performance (contractor safety, change management, emergency preparedness); define objectives/metrics; lead audits/inspections and reviews.
- Develop/deliver EH&S training strategies for employees, contractors, and leadership; support EH&S committees and engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorโs degree in science, engineering, or related technical field (required). Masterโs in occupational safety management or environmental science (preferred). CSP or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience: 10 years of EHS experience (required); EH&S program management for facilities/occupational safety/contractors (preferred).
Skills/Knowledge
- Expertise across EH&S disciplines (air/water quality, hazardous & non-hazardous waste, office/ergonomic safety, fire/life and electrical safety, risk assessment, contractor safety).
- Project management; strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and NJDEP and other regulations.
- Ability to interface with associates and inspectors; leadership, influencing, decision-making, problem-solving.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
