Role Summary

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Graduate Program at GSK, Marietta, US, 2026. This two-year program prepares you for future technical, operational and engineering roles within GSKβ€šΓ„Γ΄s Global Supply Chain (GSC) with a focus on EHS.

Responsibilities

  • Develop your EHS Experience: gain practical knowledge through programs of work, communications, safety leadership, and technical projects.
  • Compliance & Trust Building: participate in EHS-specific management monitoring and compliance activities, including audits and inspections.
  • Risk Assessment Expertise: create and implement effective risk assessments, including workplace assessments like HAZOPs, chemicals, noise, mental health, and workplace transport.
  • Hazard Investigation: investigate workplaces for hazards and potential dangers, recommending and implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: use data to make informed decisions and introduce new technologies and techniques to anticipate and control potentially dangerous situations.
  • Problem-Solving: develop analytical and advanced problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Project Management: lead local and global EHS and Sustainability projects/initiatives across the site with senior managers and leaders to drive improvements and cultural change.
  • EHS Professional Development: work toward internationally recognized EHS qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH).

Qualifications

  • Required: Scientific background aligning with pharmaceutical manufacturing environments; passion for protecting worker health and the environment.
  • Preferred: Continuous improvement mindset, strong interpersonal skills, team collaboration, self-starter attitude, organized/analytical, adaptable, detail-oriented.

Education

  • Bachelorβ€šΓ„Γ΄s degree in Science-related discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Geography, Environmental Engineering) or related fields; Engineering Masters, EHS (Industrial Hygiene), Occupational Safety, Public Health, Toxicology, Chemical/Process Engineering, Occupational Health/Hygiene.
  • Modules may include Ergonomics, Risk management, environmental/occupational hygiene.
