Responsibilities:
- Works under minimal direction of supervisor or technical lead.
- Provide technical service for assigned systems: repair, troubleshooting, and daily monitoring for potential issues/improvements.
- Identify and evaluate problematic issues; help implement and communicate solutions.
- Assist operations in troubleshooting to determine potential impacts on production and facility systems.
- Gather system information and specifications for production, engineering groups, outside consultants/contractors, and company departments.
- Participate/assist in design of process equipment/systems; assist in start-up of new facilities and troubleshoot existing facilities/equipment.
- Recommend improvements to processes/equipment/work processes; work with vendors and engineering to identify new equipment/technologies.
- Oversee and coordinate maintenance and project activities with the daily production schedule to ensure on-time completion.
- Perform field inspections of job site conditions (operability, maintainability, safety, environmental, quality).
Qualifications:
- High School/GED required AND at least 5 years prior technical experience in area(s) of specialty.
- Technical training completion/certification or associate degree may substitute for up to 2 years of required experience.
- Knowledge of basic regulatory requirements.
- Communication skills to concisely communicate key issues to stakeholders.
- Analytical skills to assess issues, seek perspectives, gather information, and identify key issues.
- Computer literacy (spreadsheets, word processing, email; computerized maintenance management and purchasing systems).
- Planning: design, plan, organize, and implement tasks within allotted timeframe.
