This engineering role with leadership capabilities will plan and coordinate engineering activities focused on electrical systems in a large manufacturing facility and handles projects across a portfolio of programs. It may also involve providing technical and project management support, acting as a domain expert within the engineering function. Accountabilities Lead or provide technical support to project execution, start-up and site operations readiness, with a strong focus on electrical systems and electrical distribution. Act as technical owner for defined electrical areas within the engineering function, providing lead expertise across the full life cycle of electrical systems and offering technical consultancy to collaborators. Handle and implement project activities from planning through implementation, providing functional expertise to project owners and, when required, leading small teams to deliver outcomes. Identify, evaluate, recommend and select technical options based on global or industry standards, ensuring alignment with local business priorities and objectives. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of standard processes, emerging technologies and new developments in electrical engineering and utilities. Take ownership of asset life cycle management for equipment and engineering systems to secure performance, compliance, efficiency and optimised cost of ownership. Lead “hands on” fixing activities, resolve functional problems and translate findings into standard operations and improved practices. Apply and drive a problem-solving attitude using lean frameworks and data analytics to improve reliability and performance. Gather and analyses data to establish, maintain and refine business processes and procedures. Prepare technical governance documentation and asset status reports, including forecasting, alignment to key performance indicators, technical analytics and recommendations for improvement. Lead preparation of investment applications and cases that demonstrate short- and long-term value and benefits. Coordinate resources within operational teams, project teams or across the site to drive value-focused outcomes. Ensure that all work, including that of others under your guidance, complies with cGMP, SHE standards and local regulations. Essential Skills/Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering Mastery in understanding of principles and concepts Technical expertise in high / medium and low voltage. Data savvy, collecting of data, analytics, diagnostics Application of AI (agents, LLM,….) for operational efficiency Experience in project management Sound understanding of cGMP, SHE standards, Standard Operating Procedures and local regulatory standards Desirable Skills/Experience Relevant qualification Experience in pharmaceutical industry 24V control systems and instrumentation Writing business applications in typical software languages, (Python, PowerBi,….)
