Role: Infrastructure Engineering Manager at Formation Bio, leading a team responsible for reliability, security, and operational foundation of engineering systems supporting AI-driven drug development efforts. Responsibilities: set technical direction, develop high-performing engineers, oversee deployment of secure, observable, and reliable software across cloud environments, and manage infrastructure for containerized applications, ML pipelines, and GxP-relevant workloads. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data science, tech ops, and security; ensure high standards for IaC, CI/CD, and incident response; promote infrastructure best practices for AI-enabled workflows. Requirements: 7+ years in infrastructure/SRE with 3+ years managing engineering teams, strong operational judgment, experience with AWS, Snowflake, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and scripting languages. Knowledge of AI-native infrastructure, regulated workloads, and cross-cloud environments is preferred. High-value: AI-driven pharma tech, cloud infrastructure, GxP, ML pipelines, containerization, observability, security, and site reliability. Location: hybrid in NYC, Boston, Research Triangle, or Bay Area; some travel may be required.
