Role Summary
Maintenance Technician II role in Cincinnati, Ohio. Reports to the Maintenance Manager and develops working knowledge of the Manufacturing facility and ancillary support equipment. Under direction from the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Lead, collaborates with the maintenance team to keep manufacturing equipment running at peak efficiency. After training, responsible for preventive maintenance procedures and major and minor repairs on manufacturing equipment and ancillary equipment.
Responsibilities
- Schedule preventive and predictive maintenance based on established schedules. This includes Manufacturing Lines, Building Maintenance, Grounds, Warehouse, Boiler and Ancillary Equipment, and Waste Water.
- Provide effective and proactive support to the operations department.
- Close Routine and NRWO tasks in a timely manner with proper documentation (logbooks filled out, detailed work orders). Raise issues to management as needed.
- Adhere to established policies, procedures, and SOPs.
- Maintain cleanliness of Maintenance Ownership areas (Maintenance Shop, Boiler room, Penthouse, Compressor area, Maintenance computer area) and support 5S.
- Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing and ancillary equipment in the facility.
- Operate the Building Automation System (BAS).
- Actively participate in operational improvement meetings, safety meetings, and vendor consultations.
- Use a variety of electrical and mechanical test equipment and tools.
- Be computer literate and proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; able to learn new software.
Qualifications
- Required: Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements; minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Preferred: Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Skills
- Ability to use electrical and mechanical test equipment and tools.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ability to learn new software.
- Experience operating building automation systems (BAS).
Education
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
