Job Position Overview
Support the development of key solutions or process improvements for Lilly manufacturing processes or industry defined subjects, leading development through research, process engineering laboratory efforts, and interactions with manufacturing sites and development/functional areas.

Responsibilities:
- Provide global engineering technical leadership in spray drying for amorphous solid dispersions, including solvent system selection and process parameter definition.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to direct discipline activities, new technology development, assessments, and deployment; stay current on spray drying, hot melt extrusion alternatives, and amorphous stabilization.
- Support sites globally with technical evaluations, technology assessments, and problem resolution (troubleshooting, root cause analysis, productivity improvements).
- Build informal and formal networks with manufacturing and development peers to apply engineering principles to improve operations.
- Develop experimental programs, protocols, and models to solve technical problems, including vessel and other scale-down models.
- Supervise laboratory experiments and partner with lab teams to ensure safe, high-quality, timely execution.
- Prepare technical reports and supporting documentation for knowledge sharing.
- Leverage external resources to stay current in technology expertise.

Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering or Science.
- 8+ years manufacturing experience in a GMP regulated environment (preferably pharmaceutical manufacturing).

Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Engineering applied to pharmaceutical oral solid dose manufacturing platforms.
- MS or PhD in engineering.
- Expertise in particle characterization and analysis.
- Experience with process modeling tools.

- Location: Indianapolis. Travel: up to 20%. Shift: Days.
