Job Position Overview
Support development of key solutions/process improvements for Lilly manufacturing processes. Provide technical leadership, guidance to sites/external manufacturing organizations, support major capital projects, and network with external community.
Key Objectives/Deliverables
- Provide global technical leadership in spray dried technology for amorphous solid dispersions (solvent system selection; process parameter definition).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to direct discipline activities, new technology development, assessments, and deployment; monitor industry trends.
- Support sites with technical evaluations, technology assessments, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and productivity improvements.
- Build informal/formal networks to apply engineering principles to improve operations.
- Develop experimental programs, protocols, and models (including vessel/scale-down models).
- Supervise laboratory experiments; partner to ensure safe, high-quality, timely execution.
- Prepare technical reports for knowledge sharing.
- Leverage external resources to stay current in technology expertise.
Basic Qualifications
- BS Engineering or Science
- 8+ years manufacturing experience in a GMP-regulated environment (preferably pharmaceutical manufacturing)
Additional Skills/Preferences
- Engineering expertise for oral solid dose pharmaceutical manufacturing platforms
- MS or PhD in engineering
- Particle characterization/analysis expertise
- Experience with process modeling tools

Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Anticipated wage: $129,000β$209,000; company bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits program.
