Role: Design Lead within Lilly's Global Facilities Delivery organization, responsible for overseeing design delivery of capital projects supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing and medical innovation. Responsibilities include establishing design standards, coordinating all design phases, developing design requirements, selecting and managing A/E firms, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards, and supporting project value engineering and risk assessments. The role entails managing design activities, resolving technical issues, and ensuring efficient project execution. Requirements: BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, minimum 5 years of manufacturing or pharmaceutical engineering experience supporting API networks, full-time work authorization in the U.S. Preferned: pharma process or project engineering background, strong project management, conflict resolution, and stakeholder influence skills. High-Value: pharmaceutical manufacturing, capital project delivery, international/domestic travel (~25%), potential co-location with A/E firms, and experience supporting medical supply chain expansions. Collaboration: cross-functional with project managers, A/E firms, system owners, and technical resources. Work setup: travel-intensive, potential for relocation.
