Engineer - Project Engineer-Design Lead

Role: Design Lead within Lilly's Global Facilities Delivery organization, responsible for overseeing the design delivery of capital projects supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain infrastructure. Main objectives include ensuring design standards, regulatory compliance, and project scope are met through effective coordination with design firms and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities encompass developing design requirements, managing design schedules, facilitating decision-making, resolving design issues, and supporting value engineering and verification planning. Requirements include a BS in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical), at least 5 years of manufacturing or engineering experience in pharma or API support, and U.S. work authorization. Preferred skills involve pharmaceutical process or project engineering, strong project management, conflict resolution, and influencing skills, along with familiarity with Lilly’s technical resources and capital project delivery processes. High-value specifics: experience in pharmaceutical process or capital projects, international travel (~25%), and potential co-location for construction and commissioning activities. The role may require domestic and international travel and occasional site or A/E firm visits to support construction, commissioning, and validation phases.
