Engineer - Project Engineer-Design Lead

Role: Design Lead within Lilly's Global Facilities Delivery, responsible for overseeing the design delivery of capital projects supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing, including bioprocess facilities. Responsibilities: identify applicable standards and regulatory requirements, coordinate all design phases, develop design requirements, manage design schedule, select and collaborate with A/E firms, monitor progress, ensure design aligns with approved intent, resolve design issues, and support value engineering and verification planning. Requirements: BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering; minimum 5 years of manufacturing or engineering experience supporting pharmaceutical or API networks; authorized to work in the US; project management skills; understanding of capital project delivery in pharma. Preferred: experience in pharmaceutical process or project engineering, strong facilitation and influencing skills, knowledge of Lilly's technical resources, and ability to work remotely with occasional travel. High-Value: supporting pharma manufacturing facilities, potentially involving biologics or API production, with a focus on design for compliance, efficiency, and quality; travel about 25%, domestic and international; involvement in design, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
