Role: Engineer II supporting manufacturing processes and GMP equipment at Moderna's Norwood, MA facility, focusing on process optimization, equipment troubleshooting, and project execution. Responsibilities: provide engineering support for diverse manufacturing equipment (e.g., chromatography, filtration, fermentation, aseptic lines), reduce manufacturing events and user interventions, own project phases from design through validation, troubleshoot issues, maintain assets via CMMS, manage quality records, and ensure compliance with GxP and safety standards. Collaborate closely with MS&T, Facilities, Validation, and Quality teams to optimize production, integrate new technologies, and support audits. Requirements: BS/MS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering; minimum 3 years relevant experience in facilities, engineering, or operations, ideally within a GxP environment; strong troubleshooting, project management, and documentation skills; proficiency in manufacturing performance metrics and MS Office. Preferred: experience in biotech or pharma manufacturing, familiarity with automated systems, statistical analysis, and a structured problem-solving approach.
