Responsibilities:
- Routinely demonstrate scientific initiative and creativity in research or development activities.
- Perform laboratory research or method development with high autonomy and productivity, with minimal direction from or interaction with the supervisor.
- Formulate conclusions and design follow-on experiments based on multidisciplinary data.
- Initiate new, scientifically meaningful and reliable areas of investigation that can be incorporated into research or development programs.
- Author publications, presentations, regulatory documents and/or be a primary inventor of patents.
- Demonstrate high proficiency across a wide range of relevant technologies.
- Maintain a high level of productivity in the lab and/or pilot plant.
- Understand and adhere to corporate standards for code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, controlled drug and radioactive compounds, GxP compliance, and animal care where applicable.
- Direct mentorship of others.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with typically 10 years of experience; Master’s degree (or equivalent) with typically 8 years of experience; or PhD with no experience required.
- Thorough theoretical and practical understanding of the candidate’s scientific discipline.
