Role: Process development scientist specializing in synthetic small molecule APIs, supporting clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and commercialization. Responsibilities: design and optimize unit operations for crystallization and other processes using engineering principles; scale-up processes ensuring robustness; develop analytical and process technologies, including PAT and continuous processing; generate process knowledge and modeling; author technical documentation; oversee transfer of processes to manufacturing and support external collaborators. Requirements: B.S. or M.S. in chemical engineering or related field; experience with synthetic organic chemistry and process chemistry in a laboratory setting; familiarity with crystallization, solid-state characterization, PAT, and process modeling; problem-solving and strong communication skills. Preferred: hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as IR, Raman, XRPD, DSC, TGA, microscopy; understanding of heat and mass transfer, kinetics, and particle engineering.
