Role: Automation Engineer supporting Lilly's new Medicine Foundry for advanced manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals, focusing on process automation in GMP operations. Responsibilities: provide automation support across site operations and capital projects, lead design reviews, develop control systems, and support validation and commissioning activities; mentor automation team members and collaborate with cross-disciplinary partners to implement automation strategies that enhance productivity, compliance, and operational efficiency. Requirements: B.S. in Engineering, 2+ years in biopharma automation, experience with DCS, SCADA, PLC, MES systems (e.g., DeltaV, Rockwell, Syncade), and familiarity with GMP, validation, and regulatory standards. Preferred: experience in greenfield manufacturing sites, automation design, and decision-making at organizational levels.
