Role Summary
Engineer - Automation Engineering β Control System Data Analyst at Lilly Medicine Foundry. Technical contributor providing data engineering and analytics solutions for the Foundry Automation Engineering organization, maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting automation control systems and interfaces to support data historization and analytics. Supports daily operations, contributes to reliable and compliant control applications, and collaborates to advance the process control technical agenda and compliance objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide/Support input to design decisions regarding development and integration of Automation Data Analytics systems and overall Foundry Data Analytics initiatives
- Lead development and implementation of analytics strategies and tools for metrics, visualization and dashboards across multiple platforms and functional areas
- Interface with Automation teams and user groups to develop requirements and designs that meet business needs
- Promote the use of data analytics to support site business goals, including training on data analytics tools and techniques
- Support qualification and delivery of Automation Servers, Network and Infrastructure and applications
- Support the Process Control Validation Plan, CSV, Quality Documents, SOPs and related artifacts
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum B.S. in IT, Engineering or related discipline and 3+ yearsβ experience in Computerized System Validation and Data Analytics, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Preferred: 3+ years in Biopharma engineering, operations, or manufacturing
- Knowledge of GMP regulatory requirements, computer system validation, execution and data integrity
- Experience in design, development, commissioning and qualification of highly automated greenfield manufacturing sites using SCADA, DCS, MES, LIMS, Power BI, QMS and Site Historian systems
- Experience in data analysis and data contextualization to support site functions and metrics
- Ability to work in a matrix organization and demonstrate interpersonal skills
- Ability to ensure technical depth and rigor with deliverables
- Ability to make independent decisions and network with others as appropriate
- Ability to work with network and enterprise partners in utilizing new technology in data analytics and enterprise integration
- Ability to influence peers and business partners
- Internal Lilly experience in LRL/Product Research Development is preferred
