Engineer - Automation Engineering - AGV/AMR (Autonomous Guided Vehicles/Autonomous Mobile Robots)-Lilly Medicine Foundry

Role: Automation Engineer supporting the Lilly Medicine Foundry's advanced manufacturing with a focus on AGV/AMR fleet automation. Responsibilities include providing technical leadership, developing and executing automation project plans, overseeing fleet management software, and mentoring automation team members. The role also involves managing vendor relationships, supporting validation and compliance efforts, and collaborating on system design and integration to optimize material handling in GMP manufacturing. Qualifications: B.S. in Engineering or related field, at least 2 years’ experience in operations or manufacturing with automation exposure; familiarity with AGV/AMR platforms (e.g., Dematic, Vecna, MiR), navigation tech (LiDAR, SLAM), and automation controls. Preferred skills include experience in greenfield site development, integration with SCADA/DCS, and pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.
