Purpose
- Build, develop, and deploy scalable, next-generation automation across manufacturing operations, delivering end-to-end automation solutions (robotic cells, semi-reconfigurable automated assembly, AMRs, smart workstations, IoT-enabled workflows) with robust system design, compliance, and integration from shop floor through OT/IT to enterprise digital platforms.
- Drive modular, cost-effective automation to improve throughput/cycle time, quality/reliability, and production flexibility.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive automation solutions from design through commissioning and handover (FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ where applicable, run-at-rate).
- Support semi-automated to fully automated implementations (X-Y Cartesian systems, robotic cells, EOAT, vision-guided assembly, smart workstations, AMRs).
- Develop functional specifications (URS/FRS), test plans, acceptance criteria, and commissioning/validation documentation.
- Participate in system design reviews; provide technical direction to internal teams and integrators.
- Specify, integrate, and validate automation hardware/software (robots, PLCs, HMIs, safety controllers, vision systems, sensors, actuators, industrial networks).
- Support machine safety and risk assessments; maintain EHS compliance documentation.
- Follow functional safety/standards compliance for robot cells and AMR operations (ISO 10218/TS 15066, ISO 13849/IEC 62061, ISO 12100).
- Implement OT/IIoT connectivity, edge devices, and monitoring (alarms, cycle time, OEE drivers); collaborate on dashboards/analytics.
- Maintain automation standards, reusable libraries, and digital engineering artifacts (robot simulation, offline programming, digital twin where applicable).
- Partner with manufacturing/operations/quality/IT/cybersecurity; support suppliers and system integrators (RFQ/SOW, schedule tracking, basic budget management).

Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Computer, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Less than 3 years of experience in industrial automation/robotics.

Required Skills
- Hands-on interest in industrial automation/robotics; learn robot cell layout, EOAT fundamentals, machine safety basics, and cycle-time optimization.
- Basic scripting/programming (Python, C#, or PLC Structured Text).
- Strong engineering fundamentals; root-cause analysis across mechanical/electrical/controls/software; basic debugging; mechanical design fundamentals.
- Familiarity with OT/industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, OPC UA, MQTT) and willingness to learn network troubleshooting.
- Safety-first mindset; willingness to learn safe design practices (risk assessments, guarding, interlocks).
- Lean/continuous improvement mindset; use data to improve OEE, throughput, quality, yield.
- New graduates with strong technical skills welcome.

Preferred Skills
- Internship/co-op or project experience in manufacturing/automation.
- Exposure to PLCs/controls (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff, Siemens) and ability to troubleshoot I/O, motion, and basic safety concepts.
- Exposure to robotics/vision/motion systems (ABB, KUKA, Universal Robots; Cognex/Keyence; servo systems).
- Data/quality tools (SPC, capability analysis, Pareto, 5-Why) and comfort with production data in Excel.
- Experience in regulated environments (medical device/pharma) with documentation/change control/validation concepts (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Industry 4.0/IIoT integration (OPC UA, MQTT, REST APIs) and/or basic SQL/log review/troubleshooting.
- Experience collaborating with vendors/system integrators (RFQs/SOWs, design reviews, FAT/SAT action items).

Other
- May require up to 5% domestic and/or international travel.

Compensation/Benefits (pay transparency)
- The anticipated base pay range: $91,000.00 to $129,472.00.
- Eligible for medical/dental/vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, group legal; retirement plan and savings plan (401(k)); long-term incentive program; time-off benefits (e.g., vacation, sick time, holiday, parental leave, and other listed leaves).
