Position Summary
- BRD Automation supports bioprocess systems from 5L benchtop to 5000L GMP production, and provides process support systems.
- Enable information/data flow using Process Automation and IT technologies with focus on data historians and analytics.
- Work with scientists/engineers to establish data management architecture; provide system administration oversight.
- Implement change control, investigate deviations, troubleshoot process control systems, support network architecture, and provide off-hours support.
- Serve as subject matter expert for AVEVA PI; provide backup system administration for DeltaV, Unicorn, and Rockwell.

Key Objectives / Deliverables
- Data Historians: support BRD platform; implement solutions using AVEVA PI.
- Data Integration: develop solutions for improvement decisions and advanced analytics.
- Innovation: define future state/vision using business objectives and emerging tech.
- Process Improvement/Optimization: use analytics to deliver productivity, safety, quality improvements.
- Project Delivery: lead local design/delivery; ensure regulatory compliance; oversee contractors.
- System Support: support AVEVA PI/DeltaV/Unicorn/Rockwell; performance monitoring and cyber security; network layering; investigate automation deviations; ensure automation lifecycle plans.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in engineering, computer science, or related field + 3+ years relevant experience.
- Experience configuring/using process data historians.
- System administration and network communications experience.

Additional Skills / Preferences
- Experience with AVEVA PI or other server-based historians.
- Firewall/network infrastructure familiarity; GMP validated systems experience.
- Manufacturing/development site support experience.
- Experience with DeltaV, Unicorn, and/or Rockwell; knowledge of data system architectures/OS/apps/interfaces.
- Strong problem identification/resolution, self-management, and teamwork.

Additional Information
- Mon–Fri, 8-hour days; occasional off-hours support.
- Travel: 0–10%.
- PPE required when entering lab/manufacturing areas.
