Role: Process Engineer within Manufacturing Technology & Transfer at Illumina, focused on developing and deploying reagent formulation, fill, and assembly processes for genomic consumables. Responsibilities: lead process development, transfer, and validation; author procedures; design and source manufacturing equipment; troubleshoot yield, quality, and throughput issues; utilize statistical tools and methodologies such as DOE, Six Sigma, DMAIC for process optimization; collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams for product launch and scale-up; ensure process transfer and sustained production in GMP environments. Requirements: B.S./M.S./PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Material Science, or Bioengineering; 2-4 years in process development, scale-up, or validation; GMP experience in high-volume consumables or bioprocessing; strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills; familiarity with automation, lyophilization, and formulation development highly desirable.
