As an Electrician, you would be responsible for operating, maintaining and installing electrical equipment used for the operation of the biopharmaceutical process facility, in accordance with Biopharm Safety Procedures and cGMPs.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and repair primary 34,000 volt, 4160 volt, and 480 volt electrical distribution networks (transformers, switches, circuit breakers, contactors, control instrumentation).
- Use schematic drawings to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical control and motor power circuits to 480 volts; repair motors, contactors, capacitors, transformers, and process equipment.
- Operate, maintain, and repair fire alarm and fire suppression systems (sprinklers, pull stations, detectors, electronic control networks).
- Implement changes to process control systems (Siemens Apogee, Allen Bradley PLC, Emerson DeltaV) to support alarm reduction, projects, and system improvements.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair/replacement of electronic control system devices (limited supervision).
- Maintain and repair emergency power systems (UPS, emergency generators, transfer switches, associated control networks).
- Provide electrical maintenance/repairs to biopharmaceutical process equipment, instruments, and related systems.
- Maintain records/logs/drawings/inspection forms; monitor building control system and analyze diagnostic reports.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance; recommend maintenance frequencies/tasks.
- Coordinate with vendors for replacement parts; maintain electrical spare inventory.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs Degree
- 2+ years of experience maintaining high voltage electrical equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with cGMPs, regulatory guidelines, governmental codes, SOPs
- Strong verbal/written communication; ability to lead/serve as a resource
- Proficiency with SAP/M-ERP, Siemens BAS, Beamex CMX, Microsoft software
- Ability to troubleshoot quickly; monitor building maintenance systems
- Interact with vendors/contractors; ensure proper documentation
