Operations
Electricians are responsible to maintain the facility electrical system in good working condition, including resetting circuit breakers, changing lamps and ballasts, light sensors, switches, changing receptacles, and troubleshooting circuitry for shorts and opens.
Schedule: 3:30pm–12:00am Tuesday to Saturday.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of high- and low-voltage electrical wiring systems and equipment (outlets, air distribution systems, pumps, transformers, motors, streetlights, appliances). Respond promptly to work orders.
- Install and service high-horsepower motors, coils, transformers, and control equipment; use specialized tools and machinery.
- Install control systems and related devices; maintain and repair equipment critical to 24-hour operations.
- Record and maintain documentation of preventive maintenance; track effectiveness of the preventive maintenance program.
- Design functional electrical circuitry and create single-line diagrams for control circuits.
- Provide on-the-job training to junior/subordinate team members.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School or GED (Required).
- Experience: 3+ years in electrical construction and/or facility electrical experience.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Distinguish color-coded wiring; read wiring diagrams/blueprints; reference electrical codes (Intermediate).
- Troubleshoot contactors, relays, and start/stop control systems (Proficient).
- Operate scissor lifts and forklifts (Intermediate).
- Thorough understanding of the NEC and applicable OSHA standards.
- Proficient in wire color coding and experienced with 277/480V and 120/208/240V systems.
Lic/Certification: OSHA-10 Certificate (Preferred).
Hourly base salary: $28.00–$37.00 per hour.
