Role Summary
Perrigo Nutritionals in Georgia, VT is seeking an Electrician to join the Maintenance team. The role focuses on maintenance and troubleshooting of the electrical/electronic aspects of manufacturing and packaging equipment and facilities in compliance with current electrical codes. This is a day shift position.
Responsibilities
- Provide project oversight/direction, responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of the electrical/electronic aspects of manufacturing and packaging equipment and facilities in compliance with current electrical codes.
- Provide oversight, direction and training to less senior technicians. Completes general work orders and interfaces with other technicians across all shifts in a team environment.
- Continuously looks for and helps to implement improvements to the process, productivity, quality and reduce costs. Performs special projects and other related duties specific to the department as assigned.
- Coordinate the work order process, help resolve work order issues, and work with vendors to schedule and complete work orders.
- Create, modify, deactivate, and consolidate Preventative Maintenance Plans in SAP.
- Strong engagement with operations, warehouse and additional personnel to ensure work orders are well documented and understood for maintenance to resolve root cause.
- Work with Engineering and Operations to support stocking of spare parts on new equipment and getting PM’s set up as necessary.
- Research, evaluate, identify and order parts required for equipment working with mechanical and engineering as needed to minimize downtime and reduce costs.
- Provide reports related to maintenance when required to support audits and investigations.
- Lead initiatives to improve maintenance practices, reduce equipment failures, and optimize PM scheduling.
- Provide direction and training to technicians and others in the plant as needed on maintenance activities and planning.
- Lead efforts on special projects to facilitate continuous improvement in the maintenance department.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
Qualifications
- Required: 10 years of manufacturing experience as a licensed electrician.
- Required: Vermont Electrician license.
- Preferred: Master electrician licensure.
- Required: Demonstrated cooperative work conduct and the ability to work independently; able to work with minimal supervision.
- Required: Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Required: Proficiency in SAP PM/MM modules and Microsoft Excel.
- Required: Ability to read blueprints and strong math skills.
- Required: Willingness to meet schedules and deadlines, with good attendance and willingness to work overtime, including weekends when needed.

Additional Requirements
- Physical requirements: ability to walk, bend, and stoop; lift up to 55 lbs; stand about 90% of an 8-hour shift; walk up/down stairs; work at elevated heights and in a range of climates (hot and cold).
