Role Summary

The Electrical Engineer in Swiftwater, PA is responsible for developing and executing site electrical reliability and sustainability programs aligned with Sanofi Planet Care strategies and site business needs. They support site infrastructure projects, day-to-day electrical troubleshooting, electrical design calculations, and upkeep of electrical documentation for all electrical systems serving the Swiftwater site. This role works under the Site Sustainability Lead to ensure compliant, efficient electrical operations that minimize environmental impact.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical Systems: Key stakeholder for lifecycle management of electrical assets; liaison for equipment/system modifications and Preventative Maintenance (PM) review/modification to improve operation, uptime, and efficiency. Provide electrical support to manufacturing equipment, identify and manage electrical projects, and assist with coordination of electrical repair during shutdowns.
  • Liaison with the Engineering department to review all new projects for electrical needs, including design calculations, maintenance plans, and project commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate electrical changes with the CAD team, reconcile electrical changes within existing drawings, review final electrical drawings, and approve them within the drawing management system.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and good documentation practices are followed to track all work and make data analysis efficient.
  • Support a strong Maintenance Safety Culture that encourages taking the right amount of time to perform each task safely.
  • Work with Site Engineering to develop and manage the Electrical Engineering Standards.

Responsibilities (Site Sustainability)

  • Develops and executes sustainability programs aligned with Sanofi Planet Care strategies. Works collaboratively within Engineering and across departments to ensure operational efficiency and to identify and implement projects to reduce the environmental footprint of the site.
  • Ensures programs are aligned with HSE management systems. Contributes to ISO 50001 and site sustainability audits.
  • Participates in Sustainability COP network.

Qualifications

  • Required: BS in Electrical Engineering; 0-5 years of experience.
  • Required: Proficient in reading and interpreting associated electrical drawings.
  • Required: Authorized to work in the US for any employer without requiring sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • Preferred: Technical experience in construction, predictive and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of electrical distribution systems at a large industrial site.
  • Preferred: Experience with power distribution equipment including medium voltage switchgear, transformers, relays, generators, automatic transfer switches, UPS, low voltage switchgear, and industrial building distribution.
  • Preferred: Ability to lead small projects as a project manager; stakeholder & people management – Cross-functionally in a matrix organization.
