EHS Senior Associate – Environmental Lead

Corporate Functions
Responsibilities:
- Support and co-lead moderately complex EHS projects by identifying hazardous situations and implementing risk-reduction solutions.
- Manage environmental programs (waste management, hazardous waste, sustainability, stormwater, air emissions), environmental regulatory permits, risk assessments, internal EHS audits, safety inspections, and EHS management systems.
- Monitor compliance and EHS performance; maintain/report key metrics and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain EHS systems (e.g., Cority, Enablon) and develop metrics/trending reports for site leadership.
- Assess risks (probability, magnitude, financial impact) and develop cost-effective control alternatives.
- Liaise with Legal/Global EHS legal and regulatory compliance organizations; provide recommendations to implement EHS standards, site policies, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct workplace condition assessments and evaluate effectiveness of injury/property loss and environmental protection actions; update SOPs, Emergency Response Plans, and Business Continuity Plans.
- Partner with site business functions/external sources; develop and administer interactive EHS training.

Qualifications (Must-Have):
- Bachelor’s + 2 years OR Master’s + 0+ OR Associate’s + 6 years OR High school + 8 years relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of local/state/federal EHS regulatory requirements; strong understanding of environmental programs.
- Experience performing internal audits of EHS programs/policies/procedures.
- Excellent written/oral communication; presentation comfort; proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Teams/SharePoint/Power BI; also Outlook).
- Safety program development and cross-functional implementation; leadership, judgment, interpersonal/negotiation skills.

Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):
- Pharma/related facility or contractor safety program experience; regulatory compliance/liaison experience; certifications (e.g., CHMM/ASP/CSP/CIH/IH/EIT/PE) and/or ISO 14001/45001; relevant pharma experience; emergency response team experience.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Base salary: $82,700–$137,900; bonus target 10%.
- 401(k) with Pfizer match + retirement contribution, paid vacation/holiday/personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, medical/prescription/dental/vision.
