EHS&S Sr. Manager

Role: EHS Specialist supporting Moderna's Norwood, MA manufacturing and R&D environments, focusing on risk management, compliance, and program ownership. Responsibilities: lead EHS risk assessments, develop and improve safety standards, manage high-risk activity programs (e.g., permit systems, SIF prevention), conduct root cause analyses, lead change management, and support environmental regulatory compliance including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Facilities, Technical Development, and Manufacturing to embed EHS practices, and lead complex projects and investigations. Qualifications: BS with 7-10 years of progressive EHS experience in biopharma manufacturing, R&D, or regulated environments; strong knowledge of EHS laws, high-risk programs, and regulatory standards; experience with ISO systems, analytical lab operations, and risk assessments. Preferred: Massachusetts-specific EHS regulatory knowledge, experience deploying digital EHS tools, and leadership in high-impact projects.
