EH&S Specialist supports safety and environmental compliance for multiple Kentucky warehouses and distribution sites by implementing EHS programs and ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations (including KOSH). Collaborates with site leadership and the corporate EHS team to conduct inspections, identify hazards, support incident investigations, coordinate training, and maintain safety/environmental records. Assists with regulatory reporting and prepares sites for audits and inspections.

Essential Functions:
- Implement and maintain EHS programs and site procedures; identify training needs and coordinate general industry safety training; support safety initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Support emergency response/contingency plans (fire prevention, spill response); assist incident/near-miss/injury investigations with documentation and support corrective action communication.
- Conduct routine safety and environmental inspections using checklists; document results and support corrective action plan tracking/closure.
- Support EHS reporting by collecting, documenting, and tracking incidents, findings, corrective actions, and performance metrics; support internal/corporate/regulatory reporting.
- Maintain accurate, organized, audit-ready EHS records (training, inspections, incidents, SDS) and support record retention.
- Coordinate with site operations/supervisors/EHS team for day-to-day safety compliance.

Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree (Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Technology, Applied Science, or related) – Required. Bachelor’s degree – Preferred.
- Experience: 1+ year supporting EHS programs in warehouse/distribution/manufacturing/general industry.
- Specialized Knowledge/Skills: OSHA/KOSH general industry; warehouse safety (forklift safety, material handling/storage, hazard communication/SDS); hazardous waste/universal waste concepts; learn/apply EHS regs; conduct inspections; document findings/incidents/corrective actions; maintain audit-ready records; support EHS metrics reporting; professional interaction; deliver/support safety training/toolbox talks; organizational skills across multiple locations; collect/validate reporting data; understand reporting timelines; familiarity with OSHA recordkeeping (29 CFR 1904) and/or EHS systems (Intelex/Cority) or applicable EPA warehousing/distribution regulations.
