East Area Sales Director (ASD), Solid Tumor Franchise
Responsibilities:
- Drive solid tumor sales results in a rare/competitive oncology market.
- Directly manage 5 Regional Directors (RDs); implement sales strategies and performance plans.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the oncology market (incl. ALK+ NSCLC, mCRC) and industry trends.
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Patient Value & Access (PVA), Strategic Account Managers, Medical Affairs, and other sales franchises.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize growth.
- Supervise, train, and motivate RDs and Oncology Territory Managers; conduct QBRs focused on people, performance, execution, and account growth.
- Influence programs based on changing sales organization and customer needs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare laws and regulations.
- Partner with Head of Sales on sales plans and educational needs.
- Identify market/customer trends, opportunities, and threats; support sales tactics/strategies.
- Recruit, retain, develop, and performance-manage a high-performance sales team.
- Represent sales at Lung Integrated Brand Team meetings.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years pharmaceutical industry experience.
- 5+ years oncology sales management experience (front line and second line leader preferred).
- Experience/knowledge in oncology sales processes (targeting/segmentation, planning, objective setting, training, execution, performance management, reward/recognition).
- Strong leadership, creative problem-solving, and team partnership skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare laws/regulations; excellent presentation/interpersonal skills.
- Strong oncology business acumen; ability to assimilate complex oncology/competitive information.
- Ability to work independently and in teams; track record leading and executing strategic business plans.
- High science aptitude; growth mindset; dynamic self-starter.
- Valid US Driver’s License in good standing.
Preferred:
- Experience with rare oncology disease states; marketing/market access/training experience; national/area roles with major oncology accounts.
Travel Requirements:
- ~25–30% travel.
