Role Summary
Rockwell Transportation seeks a Class-A driver to join our growing fleet. As the private fleet for Rockwell Medical, our transportation team delivers life-sustaining medical products to dialysis clinics and hospitals throughout the country. This role involves a 5-day work week with home on weekends, various route patterns, and potential overnight travel to support our customers.
Responsibilities
- 5-day work week; home on weekends
- Routes are Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday; may include 2–4 overnights per week
- OTR or Regional routes with possibility of a daily local route, as needed
- Receive $5,000 sign-on bonus offered in two installments
- Regular communication with Driver Managers for scheduling, issue resolution on the road and at customer sites, and other administrative duties
- Interact with staff at clinics, hospitals, and dialysis centers during product delivery
- Unload product in designated areas at each site and gather used product barrels to return to our facilities
Qualifications
- Required: Must be 21 years of age or older
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- Required: Valid Class-A CDL
- Required: Valid DOT Medical Card
- Required: 3 yrs of clean MVR history; No serious/major offenses, no more than 2 major preventable accidents, or no more than 3 minor violations or accidents combined
- Required: Adheres to all safety rules for equipment use and driving outlined by Rockwell Medical and DOT
- Required: Ability to learn and adapt to new technology
- Required: Maintains driver hours of service log using Electronic Logging Device (ELD) or manually, as required
- Required: Must be professional, courteous, and self-motivated
- Required: Ability to maintain scheduling requirements and adjust to business needs as required
- Required: Ability to pass DOT drug test, physical, and background check
