Role Summary

This role is responsible for experiment execution in downstream biologics process development. This will include equipment setup, maintenance, processing, and data acquisition in a laboratory setting. Technical report authoring and lab notebook recordkeeping are also critical to this role. A successful candidate will exhibit strong interpersonal skills, technical competence, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Scale-down and range finding study execution
  • Purification by FPLC of Pilot scale batches
  • Implementation of multiple liquid chromatography types (i.e Affinity, Ion Exchange, HIC)
  • Buffer formulation, resin selection and capacity study execution
  • Filter loading and fouling study execution
  • Intermediate stability analysis
  • Formulation and stability study support
  • Protein characterization by A280, SEC, SDS-PAGE and cIEF
  • Statistical data analysis
  • Equipment setup, functional verification and maintenance

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, bioengineering, molecular biology or related program
  • Familiar with protein biochemistry
  • Familiar with general biology lab techniques
  • Familiar with statistical analysis and experimental design
  • Technical and scientific writing and presentation skills
