Overall Purpose
The District Manager will build and lead a field-based sales team to pursue sales excellence compliantly and relentlessly to maximize product launch performance across district territories.

Key Responsibilities
- Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain high-performing frontline sales representatives focused on elite customer engagement.
- Drive launch and ongoing performance through frequent accountability measures.
- Collaborate with marketing and training to drive sales effectiveness.
- Champion compliant promotion and align execution across frontline sales representatives.
- Develop 1:1 relationships with important district customers to establish clear customer focus.
- Drive key customer engagement by attending select district and national level conventions.
- Build relationships with key accounts to advance the selling process and gather customer feedback.
- Conduct field rides to coach sales professionals to execution excellence.
- Ensure actionable business plans; align selling activities to drive impact.
- Set expectations and performance goals; implement systems of accountability for consistent top-tier execution.
- Ensure district expenses are aligned to budgets and maximized for impact.
- Provide frontline feedback and insights to sales leadership, marketing, sales ops, and other stakeholders.

Additional Role Details
- Field-based (remote); candidate must live within the assigned district.
- Travel required within the selling geography and beyond for sales meetings, conventions, and to San Diego, CA headquarters (50%+ travel).
- Reports to the Region Sales Director.

Qualifications
- Strategic leadership with ability to adjust plans/tactics to market dynamics; use data for priorities; strong coaching and communication.
- Proven problem solving, collaboration, and leadership.
- Collaboration experience with marketing, commercial operations, training, and medical affairs.
- Ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment; execute tough decisions.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA/advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years pharmaceutical sales experience.
- 2+ years Eye Care experience strongly preferred.
- Previous frontline leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Proven launch experience strongly preferred.

Salary Range
- $160–190k per year (based on successful sales experience in pharma, eye care pharma, and vision care).
