Role Summary

District Manager, Women's Health – Midwest leads the Midwest district (covering Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois) to achieve sales and market share objectives for the Women’s Health portfolio. You will develop and execute the district sales strategy, build and maintain relationships with key executives and decision-makers, and coach a high-performing sales team while ensuring compliance with company policies. This role requires strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration with the Sales Director and HR, and strong business judgment to drive results.

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage the Midwest district geography, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois.
  • Develop, enhance and increase district sales performance to meet or exceed annual sales and market share objectives; translate corporate sales and marketing direction into actionable district plans; implement the district sales strategy through the team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers; respond to customer needs in a timely and professional manner; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage; update contract information as required.
  • Provide regular, candid, and timely feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges and create plans to address gaps; work with the Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to termination.
  • Analyze and evaluate team performance and sales data; track and reinforce measures of sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, adherence to strategy, tactical execution, budget and tools usage).
  • Recruit, coach and retain top talent; ensure positions are filled; apply coaching styles to motivate high performance and accountability; develop direct reports’ performance and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures; maintain high ethical standards in all business contacts.
  • Communicate candidly with the Sales Director and direct reports; foster an open communication environment; share best practices across the district; liaison with home office to resolve issues.
  • Assess organizational change-management needs and apply appropriate tools to manage change impact within the organization.
  • Create a high-performing, development-focused team environment; eliminate barriers; balance long-term strategic vision with immediate results.
  • Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets and ensure marketing directives are cascaded to the sales teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of experience and/or education will be considered).
  • Required: Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
  • Preferred: Prior successful pharmaceutical or healthcare sales management District Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare products sales experience.
  • Required: Ability to travel 60-70% (overnight travel).
  • Required: Must reside in district geography.
  • Required: Must possess a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record; authorization and ability to drive a company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
  • Required: Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English.
