Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives; implement the district sales strategy through the team.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with key executives, decision influencers, and decision makers; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage; update contract information as required.
- Provide regular, candid, and timely feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges; create plans to address performance gaps; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to terminations.
- Analyze team and sales performance using territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, adherence to strategy, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain top talent; coach and counsel direct reports to maximize performance and professional development.
- Perform Company business in compliance with Company policies and procedures; demonstrate high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; foster open communication; share “Best Practices” across the district; serve as liaison with home office/district to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and manage change impact to ensure successful implementation.
- Create a high-performing, accountable team environment; eliminate barriers; drive both long-term strategy and immediate results.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets; cascade and follow Regional Director direction (marketing, standards, etc.).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare District Manager experience, medical devices, or other healthcare product sales experience (preferred).
- Ability to travel 60–70% (including overnight).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
- Authorization and ability to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English.
Salary range: $148,000 - $222,000.
