Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow district sales performance in the St. Louis district (Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa) to meet/exceed annual sales and market share objectives; execute corporate sales/marketing direction and district sales strategy.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with key executives and decision-makers; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information.
- Provide timely feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges early and create plans to address gaps; partner with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to terminations.
- Analyze team, sales figures, and territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain talent; coach and counsel direct reports to maximize performance and professional development.
- Conduct business in compliance with applicable company policies and procedures; maintain high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; facilitate best practices across the district; serve as liaison with home office and district to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and apply tools to manage change impact.
- Create a high-performing environment emphasizing development and accountability; balance long-term strategy with immediate results.
- Manage allocated operating budgets; follow Regional Director direction (marketing/standards) and cascade to sales teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Ability to travel 60β70% (overnight included).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driverβs License and acceptable driving record; authorization/ability to drive a company leased or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare products sales experience.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $148,000β$222,000 (exact compensation may vary by skills, experience, and location).
