Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual company sales and market share objectives; execute corporate sales/marketing direction within the geography.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with key executives and decision makers; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage; update contract information as required.
- Provide regular feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges and create plans to address gaps; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to terminations.
- Analyze team performance, sales figures, and territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (e.g., reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain talent; coach/counsel direct reports to maximize performance and development; ensure accountability.
- Ensure compliance with applicable company policies and procedures; uphold high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; compile and share “Best Practices” across the district; act as liaison with home office/district to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and apply tools to manage change.
- Create a high-performing team environment; foster solution-oriented execution and balance long-term strategy with immediate results.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets; cascade direction from Regional Director.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (or combination of education/experience).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Ability to travel 60–70% (overnight included).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record; ability to drive a company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking/reading/comprehending/writing).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior successful pharmaceutical or healthcare sales management District Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare products sales experience.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $148,000–$222,000 (exact compensation varies by skills, experience, and location).
