Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual company sales and market share objectives; execute district sales strategy/business plan.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with key decision makers; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information.
- Provide regular, timely feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance gaps early and create plans to address them; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to terminations.
- Analyze team performance using sales figures and territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain talent; coach/counsel direct reports to drive high performance and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies/procedures; maintain high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; share best practices across the district; act as liaison to home office.
- Assess and manage organizational change management needs.
- Create a high-performing environment focused on professional development and accountability; drive immediate results with long-term strategy.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets; cascade direction from Regional Director.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree + 3+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare product sales management experience (combination of experience/education considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Ability to travel 60β70% (overnight travel included).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid driverβs license with acceptable driving record; authorization to drive a company leased or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
Preferred:
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare products sales experience.
Salary Range:
- $148,000β$222,000.
