Key responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives; execute corporate sales/marketing direction within the geography.
- Implement district sales strategy/business plan through the team.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with key executives and decision makers; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and update contract information.
- Provide regular, candid feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges and create plans to address gaps; partner with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to terminations.
- Analyze team/sales performance and territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain top talent; coach direct reports to maximize performance and ensure accountability.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies/procedures and maintain high ethical/professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; foster open communication; share district “Best Practices”; serve as liaison to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and apply tools to manage change.
- Create a high-performing team environment; foster solution-oriented vision; balance long-term strategy with immediate results.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets; cascade Regional Director direction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience (medical devices/other healthcare product sales preferred).
- Travel 60–70% (overnight included).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record; authorization/ability to drive a Company leased or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
