Key responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual company sales and market share objectives; execute corporate sales/marketing direction within the geographic area.
- Develop and maintain solid customer relationships; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and update contract information as required.
- Provide regular feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges and create plans to address gaps; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to terminations.
- Analyze team and sales performance using territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (e.g., reach/frequency, adherence to strategy, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain talent; coach, counsel, and develop direct reports; drive accountability and high performance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable company policies and procedures; maintain high ethical/professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; foster an open communication environment; share best practices across the district; liaison with home office to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and apply tools to manage change impact.
- Create a high-performing team environment; manage operating budgets; cascade Regional Director direction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience (medical devices or other healthcare products sales experience preferred).
- Travel 60β70% (overnight included); must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driverβs License with acceptable driving record; authorized ability to drive a company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing).
