Role Summary

The District Business Manager (DBM) leads, coaches, and motivates a team of approximately 6–10 TASs to drive adoption of the Cardiovascular portfolio and generate demand. The DBM coaches on learning objectives (selling skills, scientific engagement, digital capabilities) and leads strategic planning, account execution, and the use of new digital tools. This is a field-based role, spending 100% of time in the field with TASs.

Responsibilities

  • Focused in-role coaching and development of TASs, including mentoring on competencies such as scientific agility, customer/commercial mindset, change agility, and teamwork/enterprise mindset; conduct ride-alongs as relevant.
  • Own TASs learning journey and ensure continuous improvement in core skills and behavior (scientific agility, patient mindset, digital agility, analytical mindset).
  • Champion adoption of new capabilities (e.g., CE^3 analytics, content personalization); model and coach TASs on using CE^3 insights for call planning and preparation; convene field teams to share experiences and drive adoption of new ways of working.
  • Execute strategic planning activities (promo program planning, budget planning, tumor prioritization at the HCP level); engage insights to prioritize accounts and develop strategies for key accounts; lead district financial and program planning.
  • Comply with all laws, regulations, and policies governing conduct of BMS.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience or related field experience.
  • Required: Prior experience as a District Business Manager in pharmaceutical sales, or equivalent experience leading and managing high-performing teams (strongly preferred).
  • Required: Pharma experience with understanding of reimbursement processes, access, and distribution environment (strongly preferred).
  • Required: Proven track record of inspiring and leading teams to meet or exceed goals; proven ability to select, develop, and retain talent; experience using analytical skills, selling skills, business acumen, and knowledge of the pharmaceutical value chain.
  • Note: Position involves operation of a company-provided vehicle; driving eligibility requirements apply (21+ years old, valid license, acceptable driving risk).
