Associate Director Trade and Distribution Strategy
Key Duties And Primary Responsibilities
- Lead tactical execution of design planning to develop scalable distribution strategies that balance financial impact with patient/customer experience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop distribution and channel strategy; apply subject matter expertise to maximize patient access and achieve corporate goals.
- Partner with the Trade and Distribution account team and functional business partners to understand distribution capabilities, market expertise, and differentiation.
- Produce business cases and recommendations on channel design, limited distribution and open network designs, and strategic alliances (3PLs, specialty pharmacy, wholesaler, specialty distributor, channel data aggregators).
- Support evolution of current distribution programs for new product launches, risk mitigation, market dynamics, competition, and regulatory/legislative changes.
- Maintain deep understanding of the distribution channel, including pharmacy and hospital capabilities and the competitive marketplace.
Knowledge And Skills
- Current knowledge of drug distribution channels, including retail and digital pharmacy.
- Proven ability to meet/exceed objectives; develop and lead strategic initiatives and projects.
- Relevant experience with distribution networks, new product launches, trade processes, and pharmaceutical supply chain.
- Demonstrated understanding of US commercial and government healthcare and reimbursement environment.
- Strong communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration/influencing skills.
Education And Experience
- Bachelorβs degree (masterβs preferred).
- 5+ years in Commercial Market Access and/or Retail Trade and Distribution (specialty/biotech).
- Experience with GPOs and IDN classes of trade.
Location/Travel
- HQ or Hybrid (3 days/week in HQ).
- Travel up to 20%.
Pay Range
- $148,000 - $222,000
Flex Designation
- Hybrid: work remotely up to two days/week; or On-Site: work five days/week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
